Bordering on Boring
The Mrs and I went to the opening of Borders in Lambton Quay this morning. We had been watching the fit-out with interest. I didn't know much about Borders, but I have an interest in retailing and I like books, so we joined the small huddle of people waiting for 8am.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed. There were some magazines that I hadn't seen before, but nothing compared to a good magazine shops. I might be blind, but that there was no fiction A-Z section. All the books seemed to be categorised, and I couldn't figure out which category my favourite author would be in. The computer book selection was pretty predictable.
I couldn't even be bothered staying for free coffee and muffins.
